Dec 9 2006 Darol fiddle workshop near Philadelphia & Camden
Darol hosts a fiddle workshop with special guests mandolinist Bryce Milano, 5-string fiddler Brittany Haas, and ASTA Maine prez Lauren Rioux.
December 9, 2006, 3-5 pm, Walt Whitman Arts Center, 2nd & Cooper Streets, Rutgers University, Camden, NJ.
Cost: $30. This workshop is open to all violinists and fiddlers alike. Lower intermediate to advanced players of any age will derive the most benefit, but adult beginners are welcomed and will find useful information. Using techniques such as call & response, direct example, and written handouts, Darol will discuss and demonstrate principles of improvisation and give useful musical tools for better improvising in any musical style.
